Intern Placements: Meet WeHateTourism

Meet ‘WeHateTourism’ one of our great placements available in Lisbon for those in the Digital Marketing sector. 

WeHateTourism was started in early 2010 by Bruno, who recognised and appreciated the need for travel focused on meeting people, with enriching life experiences rather than a list of must visit spots as you walk around in a big group. As the idea took shape, he employed various friends from various fields, photographers, artists and writers with one main thing in common. Their love (and occasional hate) for the city that they grew up in.

A tour with WeHateTourism isn’t a sightseeing trip, it's a way to get to know locals, to see the good and bad without the rose-tinted tourism lenses. For that reason, their tours aren't for everyone but if you want to really get to know the city, there’s no better way to do it.

We currently have two interns from CapacityIreland working with WeHateTourism, Mark and David! They do photography and editing for social media as well as helping out in the office. This allows them to get to know customers and the others that work there! This week they have been having fun trying out the new green screen in the office.

David described the role as very independent and self driven, therefore allowing them to do what they would like (within reason) and just be very creative with the content they create and work on together.

If you are looking for a placement in Lisbon that is both rewarding and enjoyable whilst being in a stunning location in Lisbon’s super cool LX Factory then WeHateTourism would be a great choice!
